Whether you're a seasoned veteran or a newcomer to Appalachia, these weapons are going to help you dominate the wasteland in Fallout 76! I’ll also show you where to find these awesome rifles, so let’s dive in!

5. Tesla Rifle

The Tesla Rifle is a hidden gem that is often underrated, but it packs a punch, especially when it comes to tagging and taking down swarms of enemies like ghouls. This rifle is a game-changer when you're up against multiple foes, delivering an impressive stream of destruction. If you're looking for an efficient tagging machine, the Tesla Rifle is a must-have.

Where to Find: Head to the White Springs Mall and visit the Brotherhood vendor to get the Tesla Rifle Plan. You’ll need to be level 40 to unlock this weapon, so keep that in mind.

4. Handmade Rifle

The Handmade Rifle is one of the most reliable rifles in Fallout 76, and it’s perfect for players who run a rifle build. This weapon has great power, is easy to use, and has manageable ammo costs. Whether you're just starting out or looking to upgrade your loadout, the Handmade will serve you well.

Where to Find: Visit the Free States vendor at the White Springs Mall to buy the plan for the Handmade Rifle. You’ll need to be at least level 30 to get it, and you can also find the rifle on a small island near Comrade Chubs.

3. Enclave Plasma Rifle

The Enclave Plasma Rifle is a powerhouse weapon, offering high damage potential with the option of a flamer barrel or a more traditional ranged configuration. Although the mods can be tricky to obtain, this rifle is absolutely worth the grind.

Where to Find: To get the Enclave Plasma Rifle, head to the White Springs Bunker (Service Entrance) and access the Production Terminal to purchase the base rifle. Mods can be found at the WOGA Station or through the Vendor Bot Phoenix, but they are rare, so keep hopping servers for a chance to get lucky.

2. Railway Rifle

The Railway Rifle has earned its spot as one of the most powerful rifles in the game, with an impressive damage-per-second (DPS) rating. It's especially great for boss fights and taking down Scorch Beasts, and it's fun to use, too. If you want a rifle that delivers, the Railway Rifle is for you.

Where to Find: Visit the Berkeley Springs Train Station to get the Railway Rifle Plan from the vendor. For maximum effectiveness, make sure to grab the Automatic Piston Plan, which turns the rifle into a fully automatic beast. A Quad Railway Rifle is highly recommended to maximize your damage.

Honorable Mention: V63 Laser Carbine

While not the most powerful weapon in the game, the V63 Laser Carbine is one of the most fun rifles to use. With its precision in VATS, it excels at clearing out mobs. It's an excellent choice for players looking for a versatile, enjoyable weapon.

Where to Find: The V63 Laser Carbine can be purchased from the Caravan merchants as part of the Milepost Zero content. If you’ve completed the Caravan questline, you can buy the weapon, along with its mods, directly from the vendor.

1. The Fixer

Finally, at number one, we have The Fixer, a rifle that combines convenience, power, and smooth VATS performance. It’s a go-to weapon for many players due to its versatility, great damage output, and ease of ammo management. The Fixer is the best all-around rifle in Fallout 76, and if I could only choose one rifle to use, this would be it.

Where to Find: Getting the Fixer requires completing the Encrypted Event Questline. You can get a base version of the rifle after completing the quest, with the opportunity to unlock the plan. Afterward, you can keep doing the event for more chances to acquire the Fixer or have a friend craft it for you.

Each of these rifles brings something unique to the table, whether it's raw damage, versatility, or ease of use. Depending on your playstyle, you might want to try different combinations and see what works best for you. For reference, the build I’m using in this video is a low-health, bloodied build that maximizes damage while keeping you agile.

Let me know in the comments which rifles are your favorites and if I missed any that you think deserve a spot on the list. If you want to know more, please browse U4GM! In addition, for players who don't have much time to spend collecting bottle caps but still want to enjoy everything the game has to offer, this is the best store to offers Fallout 76 caps for sale fast.
